Gardens Direct have many years experience in constructing decks and use only high quality materials. We usually supply and install softwood decking which is pressure treated with preservative for longer life outdoors. All decking boards are screwed securely to a substantial framework of wooden treated joists: sizes either 100x50mm or 150x50mm.
The construction of a deck is especially useful in a situation where the ground slopes away because it can be built raised to give more useable surface area for your leisure time.
To be outdoors in the open air but at the same time
enclosed and surrounded by plants is one of the pleasures
of a pergola. It is popular to incorporate a pergola over
part of the decked area as it can be easily installed at the
same time as the deck construction. We can build you a pergola of any size and style.
